The Countdown to Christmas ...

I love Christmas ! Totally, I am like a big kid - the pressies, the tree, the food, the time spent with family and friends, the lot ! (OK, maybe not the shopping so much LOL)

So I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all my family, friends and clients a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2008 !

'Tis the Season ...

... for the product rush ! LOL

I am really conscious that I want to get as many client's products to them as possible in time for Christmas - so I have been working flat out getting albums designed, framing prints, etc ...

Please note the following deadlines:

- Reprints - Wednesday 12th December - this is the latest date I can guarantee to get them to you for Christmas gifts.

- 7x5 framed prints - I have a small selection of frames available so the 12th December applies for that size - unfortunately, as the frames are bought from a bespoke company, I cannot take any Christmas orders for any other size print

- Wedding Albums - If your layouts are currently online, I need these approved and ordered by 12th December, so that I can send the prints to the lab and get them back on time - this also gives me enough time to make the album up :)

Jamie & Audrey's Wedding - Tenerife

As you know from previous posts, I had the privilege of flying to Tenerife last weekend to shoot Jamie and Audrey's wedding. As usual, here are a few of my favourites ...

I took this on the first night - it is the beautiful view from the veranda overlooking the pools and across the sea ...
On the Friday night we had a rehearsal, then we headed over to the village of La Caleta to a fish restaurant overlooking the bay, La Vieja, where we were treated to beautiful foo by the bride and groom - thanks again, guys ...

The next day was the actual wedding and what a scorcher - we were well into the 80's in temperature ! I managed to get both the bridal preps and some of the groom preps too ...

Unfortunately, Audrey's father is no longer with us, so her Mother gave her away ...

Toying with Technique in Tenerife

John and I had a little bit of downtime during the evening celebrations at the weekend, so I decided to play around with a technique known as "second shutter synch" - in simple terms, you get a little bit of flash freezing the action, but movement too as the shutter speed is slow in the dark ... here are a couple of examples (me and hubs) - I tried it out on the dancefloor as a wee extra for the happy couple, too - more to come ...

Tenerife Teaser ...

Well, John and I are sitting waiting on the hotel veranda for our taxi to arrive - we have been on Tenerife since Thursday, where I have been shooting a wedding ... more on that to come, in the meantime I couldn't wait to share some personal photos ... more for the benefit of our friends who want to book the same hotel in March ...

Boudoirs and Babies !

Hi guys ... well, to mark the unofficial opening of my new space I invited my friends Adam and Marie and their little boy Xander along to try out the new lights ... I don't have the space all ready just yet - new backdrops going up next week ... but it was enough to get us started ...

Then it was Marie's turn ... she runs a company selling sexy underwear (including bridal gear) www.simplysensual.co.uk and so she decided to model her own goods - with delicious results !!!

Rachael & Chris's Wedding - Keele Hall

After a rather wet and windy start to the day on Saturday, it cleared up just in time for Rachael and Chris to tie the knot ! The celebrations were held at Keele Hall, a rather beautiful old building set in the grounds of Keele University.

Eoin & Lisa's Wedding - Weston Hall

I had the pleasure to shoot Eoin and Lisa's wedding yesterday. We started off at Lisa's mum's house in Great Haywood, followed by a beautiful catholic ceremony at the village church, before heading off to Weston Hall in a London bus for the evening celebrations !

As always, here are a few of my favourites ...

The preps were a tad manic, but Lisa kept her cool ...

Lisa's mum's house is literally around the corner, so she and her Dad walked there !

Lisa got a tad emotional before going in to the church ...

The ceremony was really lovely ...

Although a couple of little guests didn't agree with me - it was much more fun sitting out back with a bag of crisps LOL

Lois, their little daughter, was a bundle of fun through the day - I think she was quite happy about it all, as can be seen from the big cheer !!!

A few formals and some fun with the bus followed, but of course it gets dark pretty early these days, so it was soon time for speeches ... embarrassing stories, laughter, cheers, dreadlocks, tea bags and some romance and emotion ensued ...
