Amanda & David | Wedding | Crewe Hall, Cheshire

Amanda & David met when David needed a new mortgage ... Amanda was his financial advisor. She had made a decision to move abroad and David thought there was no hope for them ... after romancing her by text message (totally romantic LOL) she decided to stay in the UK and be with David (awwww). That decision led us to their beautiful wedding at the stunning Crewe Hall in Cheshire.

We started at Crewe Hall with David ...

Paul had to help with the cufflinks, much to David's amusement ... the cufflinks belonged to David's father who died when David was just 16 ...

"During and After"

I know, it's usually "Before and After", right? This totally made me smile when I was checking through the files from today's wedding ... mooching through Paul's shots, I came across this ...

Ha! The shapes I get into while trying to stay out of the way and get the shot :)

So, this made me go looking for the same time frame to see if I could pull the shot I was taking and here we go ... groom's speech !

Me and the Z ...

In between studio portrait sessions today my friend, and fellow photographer, Kim Shaw decided to play around with some portraits and generally have some fun. For those of you who don't know me so well, I turn 40 in a few short weeks, so I decided I had to mark the occasion with a new car (I know, rather indulgent, but you only turn 40 once, right?) ... I asked Kim to incorporate the car in the shoot and this is what she produced ... I love it ! Thanks, Kim :)

Alison & Jason | Marquee Wedding | Alsager

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Alison & Jason's Pre-Wedding Shoot in Buxton ... it wasn't too long before it was wedding time !

The day started and ended at Alison's parent's beautiful home, with a church visit in between. Alison's mum mentioned that she had wanted the wedding at her place because "she has a lovely garden" ... to be fair, it was an orchard and a great big field with a marquee in it LOL

The weather behaved for the majority of the day, although it was a tad windy at times. Everyone had a lovely day and here are a few faves from me ...

DJ Morais | Portfolio Shoot | Stafford

You guys know that I love, love, LOVE blogging ... however, this time of year is a tad manic, as you would expect ... I am here, just busy and having a great time with all my clients !

Today I got to spend some more time with my clients (and friends) Richard and Louise, at their home not far from me in Stafford. Richard is a sought-after club DJ in and around the midlands and, in fact, all over the UK, Europe and even Miami ! I have such a great time when shooting with him, he is such a natural (Louise reckons he's just a poser LOL) ... we had a shoot in his home studio today and this is Louise's fave ...

2 more sessions to go ... not giving anything away, just watch this space (and of course more weddings to come as well :))

DJ Morais | Portfolio Shoot | Birmingham

I first met Louise (Richard's beautiful other half) at a bridal fayre 2 years ago ... she contacted me soon after and booked me to shoot their wedding ... I soon realised that this relationship was one that was going to last longer than the wedding day and I was right about that !

Earlier today, I travelled to Birmingham to meet with them to shoot some DJ portfolio shots for Richard ... he is a manager by day and a VERY cool club DJ by night ...
