Hayley & Steve - Crewe Hall - 29th December 08

I shot my last wedding of the season with my good friend Matt Pereira, who had travelled up to spend a few days with us, giving me some moral support and ensuring I had cover in case I needed to go home (as John had only been out of hospital for a few days) ... I absolutely LOVE shooting with Matt, we work very well together and always kick butt on the photos !! Hayley and Steve's wedding was no exception and I am very excited to be blogging the photos :)

We arrived at Crewe Hall to shoot the bride and groom preps, to find a rather large fire truck outside !!! The main chimney had caught fire in the early hours of the morning and so people had been evacuated, including my bride *eek* ... by the time we arrived, though, the fire was under control and Hayley was back in her suite ... we just needed to calm Steve's nerves ! So I sent him off with Matt for some cool photos in the suite and then in the bar ... and of course with the fire truck !

The day was wonderful, the guests had a great time, we were freezing, but nobody cared and we just got on with it ! Great laugh, no rain and, well, some cool shots as well ... here you go !

Steve ...

His brother and best man, Lee (sorry, ladies, he's taken !)

Just had to be done !

Some emotional, but fun, speeches ...

Eloise & Darren - Repton Private School - 13th Dec 08

I did blog a couple of teasers from this wedding, but, as always, would like to show a few more shots from the day. It was a cold and rainy day in December, but spirits were high and we had a LOT of fun ... it was even more poignant as Eloise is coming up on her 5th year in remission, so family and friends all felt very lucky to be there, celebrating with her and her new husband. I was assisted on the day by Paul Glavin.

And so, a few more for your enjoyment :)

The morning preparations at Eloise's parents home ...

Keeping the dress dry on the way in :)

Stunning Repton Church ...

A nice catch by Paul !

Brollys at the ready !

But we didn't let the rain spoil our fun !

An impromptu practice dance :)

The room was absolutely stunning and soooo Christmassy :)

The grand entrance ... never seen a bigger smile !!

The speeches were filled with fun and laughter (and the odd emotional tear) ... working with 2 photographers means we can really get different perspectives and shots from all around the room :)

That gorgeous cake ... again, a different perspective Paul spotted :)

Thank you for having me, it was a lot of fun - best wishes for a long, happy future together x

SWPP Convention - In Words and Pictures !

OK, likely to be more pics than words, to be honest !

I travelled down to London on Thursday evening and met up with Matt Pereira who was helping me on the Jerry Ghionis stand at the trade show. It didn't take us long (although the new shelving proved to be a bit of a challenge ... no tools required, by backside !!!).

Over the course of the weekend, we met with sooo many photographers, it was fab ... I caught up with some old friends (including that mad Irish lot) and, of course, made some new ones :)

My special thanks goes to Howard from The Imagefile for your snappy-dressing, friendship and hospitality on Thursday night, to the team at G F Smith for ditto (except the snappy dressing LOL) on Friday night and to Maz for the same (including the snappy dressing!!!) on Saturday night ! Big shout out to Joe Photo ... you know what for !!! :)

And so, without further ado ... the photos ... all taken with my G10, by me, unless otherwise stated ...

The stand ...

Matt tries to hypnotise someone into buying some products ...

Paul, asleep on his feet LOL ...

The end of the last day ...

I tell you, 3 days on your feet does funny things to a person ... Matt ! It's a 2-dimensional woman !!!

Matt praying to the photography gods ...

And giving me attitude for evening mentioning it LOL

OK, these last 2 were not shot by me ... thanks to Jeff Ascough for lifting the G10 and doing his PJ thing, I get to be in a couple of shots !
