Wedding Day for Aimee & Drew

This weekend I was privileged to be the photographer at Aimee & Drew's wedding. The day started with Aimee and her girls and parents, in Rode Heath, Cheshire. There was a tiny little panic going on when I arrived as Aimee was not happy with her flowers. We soon calmed her down and the bridesmaids got to work making it look a lot better, phew!

Aimee has a thing for pink and so I waas delighted to find that this had come through in her choice of dress, albeit a very subtle pink. She had worked very closely with her dress designer, the result was absolutely beautiful and really fit with Aimee's slim figure.

The ceremony was in the beautiful old Rode Heath church, a truly English setting, old stone walls and old graveyard, picture perfect and a treat for us photographers. The ceremony was beautiful and all the kiddies (there were many) decided to sleep or watch intently - there was not a peep from any of them the entire ceremony - bless !

Aimee, Drew & I stayed behind at the church once everyone had chucked their confetti and left for Cottons Hotel in Knutsford. This gave us some time for romantic and fun shots in the sun, which did make an appearance more than once, despite the weather forecast of rain (yep, sometimes when they get it wrong it is for the better LOL)

Cottons is a cool, contemporary hotel in the heart of Cheshire, their wedding breakfast was held in the very trendy Magnolia Restaurant, although a few of the guests were a tad warm towards the end of the speeches, the downside of not being prepared for the hot weather ! And speaking of speeches, boy, were they emotional, that's all I'm saying. That and, if the best man would like to contact me , we can come to some arrangement so those photos of him bawling his eyes out don't make it onto the internet LOL !!!

As always, a great couple to work with, fab, fun wedding party and friendly guests made for a wonderful day out in Cheshire.

Aimee & Drew, I would like to wish you continued happiness and a long and happy marriage together - congratulations !

A few favourites, then ...

  3. Third shot down—bride portrait is lovely. Very nice expression and she looks like every bride wants to look on her wedding day. Mysterious, warm, tender, loving, fun...great moment!

I also like the limo shot as well for some reason. It's an interesting composition, centered perfectly.

And the later portrait of the bride and her husband nuzzling her neck...they will treasure that for a lifetime.

They were lucky to have you there on their wedding day!
